Cape Town- Finally after two losses the Stormers broke free.

Stormers- not the best start to their Super Rugby season so far. They lost their first two matches against the Bulls and the Sharks; two big South African teams who have always been a mighty task for the Stormers, but last season they shined against them and played with such passion and skill. To say the least, Stormers seemed quite unfit in both of those games. However, they finally got into the swing of things in the third match against the Chiefs. They seemed to have much more structure, players looked fitter and the home ground advantage definitely applied.

The Stormers struggled but held up well to claim victory over the Chiefs. In a thrilling match of action packed entertainment,
both sides displayed their full potential, however Stormers dominated in some areas, specifically the lineouts and conceded more penalties than the Chiefs. However, the Chiefs had enough position but conceded too many penalties and that proved vital towards the end. Stormers had won by a
narrow margin, however all their heads were in the game from kick off. Alistair
Coetzee stated that “We've played for a win since the start of the season and it's pleasing when you can turn things around.”

Stormers have a bye next weekend. However, they face the Bulls once again in the weekend to follow. They will have some adavantage as they will be playing at home. But can they keep up with the strength of the Bulls?
